Outsourced marketing department

Outsourced marketing for accountants: your whole department, one fixed fee

Most practices are too small to justify a full-time marketing team, but too ambitious to leave growth to chance. We become your marketing department, running your website, Google rankings, ads and social media together, for one fixed monthly fee.

Short answer

Outsourced marketing for accountants means handing all of your practice marketing to a specialist team instead of hiring in-house. The team plans, runs and reports on everything, from the website and SEO to Google and Meta ads and social media, so partners only need to approve the plan and review the results.

Which firms is an outsourced marketing department right for?

It suits practices that want steady growth but have no one in-house whose job is marketing. Typically a partner has been doing it in spare moments, or the firm has used several freelancers who never joined the work up.

It also suits firms planning to hire, open a new office or move towards advisory work, where new clients need to arrive on a schedule.

Is this the same as lead generation for accountants?

It goes further. Lead generation usually means a supplier selling you enquiries, often shared with other firms. An outsourced marketing department builds enquiries that come to your firm alone, through your own website, rankings, ads and reputation, so the results stay with you. For the basics, read how to get more clients for your accounting firm.

What does the marketing department cover?

  • Your website. Built or redesigned, then kept up to date and improved every month.
  • Google rankings and AI search. New pages and guides each month, plus making your firm easy for ChatGPT and Google's AI to recommend.
  • Google and Meta ads. Campaigns managed within a budget you set, with ad spend paid directly to the platform.
  • Social media. Regular posts on the platforms your clients and referrers use.
  • Google Business Profile and reviews. Kept active, with a simple process for asking happy clients for reviews.
  • One plan and one report. A quarterly plan, a monthly meeting and a plain-English report on enquiries, sources and cost per enquiry.

How does it compare with doing marketing in-house?

An in-house hire brings salary, employer's National Insurance, pension, software and management time, and still leaves gaps in skills. A fixed monthly fee replaces all of that with a cost you can budget for, like any other overhead.

You can judge it the same way you would appraise any investment: what it costs each year against the fees from the new clients it wins.

What does it cost?

The outsourced marketing department is our Marketing Department package. If you are not ready for everything at once, start with a new website or Google and Meta ads and build up.

Marketing department questions

How is this different from hiring a marketing manager?

You get a team covering websites, SEO, ads and social media for a fixed monthly fee, with no recruitment, employer costs, holiday cover or training. One person rarely has all of those skills, and if they leave the knowledge leaves with them.

Who will we deal with day to day?

The founder, Rehan Razzaq, is your main contact from the first call onwards. You have one person to speak to and one monthly meeting, rather than a different agency for each channel.

Can we start smaller and build up to this?

Yes. Many firms start with a new website on Foundation, add Growth once it is live, and move to the full marketing department when they are ready to grow faster.

Is there a long contract?

No. There is no minimum contract, so you can stop with notice if the work is not paying for itself.
